What is Rhapsodic Pedagogy?
Creative explorations of philosophical, sociological and ecological ideas.
“Rhapsodic” is from Ancient Greek rhapsoidein, meaning to weave a song.
Prior to formal systems of education and written literature, the pedagogical role in society was played not by “school” as we now know it, but by poets — those who could weave together the meanings that held society together. Art and Education were one.
Rhapsodic Pedagogy seeks to perform this role of weaving-together, creating literal con-text in a chaotic world, through essays, songs, videos and performances.
